Last week, we had the chance to visit the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) on a field trip organized by the Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde. NMIS is at the forefront of manufacturing innovation, boosting productivity, growing the economy, and developing a skilled workforce. They collaborate with businesses across Scotland and beyond, driving sustainable communities through advanced R&D.
The visit reminded me of my time with ASAP Kerala and the Industry on Campus (IoC) initiative. Through IoC, we had established mini-FabLab’s in government polytechnic colleges in Kerala, India, to nurture student's entrepreneurial skills and to carve a culture of ‘Earn while you learn’.
Just like IoC, NMIS is dedicated to supporting the next generation of makers, engineers, and inventors. I appreciate NMIS for their incredible efforts and commitment to innovation and education. I would like to thank Strathclyde Business School for this exciting opportunity. Thank you Team NMIS for being a wonderful host!!
