Demola Challange - Transparent News

Image
I am excited to share my experience as a part of the Demola Global project, Transparent News. Our three-member team, consisting of Gaurav Pakhe, Nicolo Gerard Cruz, and myself, had an amazing journey.  Demola is a global community bringing together co-creation experts, university students, and innovative organizations. Their mission is to make an impact and prepare for different futures by connecting students with real-world projects. It's an incredible platform where students from diverse backgrounds tackle innovation challenges across various fields. Working as a team to address misinformation, fake news, and deepfakes in the media, we proposed effective ideas to tackle these real-world challenges through analyzing the problem from multiple angles. I am deeply grateful to Heini-Marja Rintaniemi and Janne Eskola for their wonderful support throughout the project. A big thank you to Thomas Devaney from Strathclyde Inspire, Manish Joshi and Strathclyde Business School for this oppor...

Women in leadership

Image
I agree that full democracy necessitates equal participation of women in all its processes. While having women as heads of state is a positive step, it is crucial to delve deeper into the issue. In many countries led by women, there is still weaker representation of women in cabinet positions. Often, the second line of leadership remains predominantly male. Therefore, the presence of women leaders at the top should not be the sole criterion for assessing women's leadership. Instead, multiple factors should be considered, including women's contributions to decision-making in the cabinet, their proportion in the second line of leadership, and the consistency of their involvement across all levels of governance. I believe that only by ensuring comprehensive and consistent participation of women can true democracy be achieved.
