End campus violence!
It has been over a year since the tragic death of Sidharth, a student tortured by seniors in Kerala (India), yet similar horrifying incidents continue to surface. In recent weeks alone, multiple cases of brutal ragging have been reported across Kerala’s educational institutions. From students being tied to cots and assaulted with dumbbells in Kottayam to others being forced to drink water spat out by seniors in Thiruvananthapuram, the cruelty seems unending.
These incidents show that the state has serious problems in dealing with ragging and violence on college campuses. Similar cases have happened recently, making people worry that authorities are not taking responsibility. Political connections and careless management allow this problem to continue, leaving victims like Sidharth without safety or justice.
This alarming trend underscores the urgent need for stricter enforcement of anti-ragging measures to ensure campuses are safe for all students.
We need to stand together to end this toxic culture and demand accountability. No student should ever have to suffer like this again.
